WHAT IS PROFHILO?
WHAT ARE THE RISKS?
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
HOW MUCH IS IT?
Profhilo is neither a dermal filler or an anti-wrinkle treatment. Simply put, it is an injectable moisturiser made up of a runny hyaluronic acid (HA) gel that provides deep down and long-lasting hydration. It’s also able to remodel the skin by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. It delivers great results as a treatment on its own or in combination with other aesthetics treatments.
Profhilo is the first BDDE-free stabilised injectable HA based product for treating skin laxity and contains one of the highest HA concentrations on the market (64mg/2ml). It uses patented technologies engineered for ‘skin remodelling’, which is a revolutionary concept of ‘curling’ wrinkles rather than just ‘filling’ them. It effectively stimulates the production of both your natural collagen and elastin to renew your skin from within.
Profhilo treatment can help to:
Increase skin firmness and elasticity
Tighten and lift skin
Improve skin tone and texture
"Profhilo is the most exciting development in injectable treatments in a long time."
Profhilo treatment is carried out over 2 separate appointments 4 weeks apart to achieve optimum results, however an additional third appointment can be added in cases of more severe skin laxity. The hydrating effects of Profhilo can be seen within a few days of treatment, giving the skin a luminous, healthy glow. Then over the next few weeks, collagen and elastin production is stimulated, causing the skin to tighten and wrinkles to reduce. Results last approximately 6-9 months but can vary between individuals and depends on degree of correction, age, skin type and lifestyle. A good medical skincare regime will also help to prolong the effects of treatment.
Profhilo is injected using a technique known as the BAP (Bio Aeshetic Points) technique, which involves only 5 injection points on each side of the face. These 5 points have been specifically chosen to maximise the diffusion of the product through the skin but also to:
reduce pain (slow injection technique is used)
lower the possibility of bruising or haematoma
Immediately after treatment there may be some redness/tenderness at the injection sites but this normally subsides within 24 hours.
The price is £425 for a course of treatment (2 sessions 4 weeks apart) and £225 for an additional syringe/maintenance if required. This includes a free consultation.
These amazing results were achieved after just 1 session of Profhilo, so we would expect an even better outcome after session 2. The results are further enhanced by a combination of anti-wrinkle treatment to the crows feet and an Alumier MD skincare regime, which will enhance and prolong the results even more.
